Lamination Technology

Lamination

It is believed that lamination and transfer lamination are very similar processes. However, they are completely different from each other.

Laminating is a technique in which two or more substrates are gathered together to obtain a new single substrate.

In transfer lamination, the substrate temporarily contacts another substrate to transfer its characteristics. The most widely known application is the use of transfer film or paper.

  • Adhesion of materials for enhanced durability and strength.

  • Protective layer application for moisture, chemical, and abrasion resistance.

  • Improvement of aesthetic appeal through surface texture and finish.

  • Enhanced barrier properties for packaging and technical textiles.

  • Application of specialized films for specific functional requirements (e.g., anti-graffiti, UV protection).
