Drying

Drying is a much more complicated subject than it seems.

Therefore, it must be regarded as an independent technology. In most cases, just drying the substrate is not enough, because calories must be transferred to activate and complete the chemical reaction.

A good dryer must have uniform heating and ventilation functions across the entire width.

The dryer is also a key equipment to ensure high-quality final products and production capacity.

  • Convection Drying:
  • Hot air or gas circulated over the material.

  • Common in tunnel dryers and floatation dryers.

  • Conduction Drying:
  • Heat transferred through direct contact with heated surfaces.

  • Used in drum dryers or contact plate dryers.

  • Vacuum Drying:
  • Drying at reduced pressure to lower boiling point of liquids.

  • Suitable for heat-sensitive materials.
